We can guarantee that our price is the cheapest in town and our medicals are very comprehensive (most SCUBA Dive Medicals are well above £100!!) If you are intending to SCUBA Dive for the first time or have an existing medical condition, then you would require a SCUBA PADI Dive Medical. We have provided several dive medicals for both national and international destinations (i.e. Greece, UAE, Mauritius, Egypt, Canary Islands).
N.B. Whilst the majority of our SCUBA Diving Medicals are done for PADI, we can certainly cater towards SSI SCUBA Schools accreditation.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) :
✔ Completion of pre-health medical questionnaire (including previous COVID-19 history).
✔ Vital observation check (including oxygen saturations, temperature, heart rate, BP & respiratory rate).
✔ Examination of the heart and the lungs.
✔ Formal Ear, Nose and Throat Examination.
If you have a history of asthma, additional tests such as spirometry can be performed to elucidate lung function (free of any additional cost)
Please bring your Photo ID, PADI SCUBA Dive Form, your glasses prescription and a list of any medications that you take.
In most situations, diagnosed asthmatics < age of 16 would be denied a certificate due to the risk of bronchoconstriction and respiratory arrest when diving in cold water likely due to age-related limited lung capacity. However the clinic does provide accreditation for children over the age of 10 years old (minimum age for PADI SCUBA Diving on junior programmes). Any current brain tumour (benign or malignant) or history of epilepsy or seizure may contraindicate you from diving. If you suffer from decompression sickness or have a severe intolerance to cold water then this would also render you unable to dive. If you have a medical condition that you aren’t quite sure may cause a contraindication to diving, then feel free to enquire through the website or directly on WhatsApp to get in contact with the doctor.
