At Cherries Medical Clinic, we are now providing Licensed Asbestos Medicals. Dr Anwar is a HSE-approved medical physician, bringing extensive experience and expertise in asbestos-related health assessments and is approved for both types of medicals.
Certificates will be made available the same day towards the end of the appointment. Our price is only £130 per medical (all-inclusive) with further £10 off for bulk booking of 5+ workers.
We can also come on-site to your location to conduct these medicals (minimum booking of 6 workers).

Why do I need an Asbestos Medical?
Based on the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012, it is now a mandatory requirement for employers to ensure that they identify the risk of asbestos at their workplace; especially if it is most likely that their employees will be exposed to asbestos above the control limit.
What’s the difference between Licensed vs Non-Licensed Asbestos Medicals?
Licensed Asbestos Medicals:- These are suited for employees that are directly exposed to asbestos in their workplace such as ship building, construction work, asbestos cleaning/removal work or demolition work. The nature of this work tends to involve long-term exposure to asbestos.
Non-Licensed Asbestos Medicals:- The nature of the work involved here tends to be short-term maintenance work such as painting or removal of asbestos insulation board or asbestos cement. This can also be used for workers who are exposed to airborne asbestos fibres such as workers in schools, factories or power plants.
What do I need to bring to the Asbestos Medical?
✅ Your ID including Driving License or Passport.
✅ Your National Insurance Number.
✅ If you take any medications then to bring these along to the appointment
What does the Asbestos Medical involve?
✅ Completion of Health Questionnaires
✅ Examination of the heart and the lungs upon auscultation.
✅ A dedicated Lung Function Test known as spirometry.
