What is an Adoption and Fostering Medical?
At Cherries Medical Clinic, we are able to provide a rapid access adoption & fostering medical for health assessment. This entails looking at your Full GP Medical Records so that we can assess your medical and physical health fitness to be able to adopt a child or foster a child. It is also important to see whether there have been any previous safeguarding concerns raised. We are able to perform completion of these reports by our Private GP and can also complete these via your local authority. You can request access to your full medical records by ensuring that you contact your NHS GP Surgery. You should be able to access these records free of charge but it can take up to 28 days to get access, depending on your GP surgery.

What do I need to bring to the medical?
