What is a Audiometry Hearing Check?
Cherries Medical Clinic is now excited to introduce comprehensive hearing checks at competitive prices. This service is lead by our Private GP with excellent links to our local audiologist who will be at hand to provide assistance with your hearing needs.
Our audiologist will be at hand to provide answers to your questions and can help provide the following services:-
- Hearing Aid Fit & Assessment (if warranted)
- Microsuctioning for both ears (for hard wax removal).
Why wait for your NHS GP to refer you to an NHS audiologist which can take several weeks?
For just £60 for a 20 minute consultation, we will offer pure-tone audiometry checks to assess your hearing in both ears, a dedicated examination of both eardrums with our otoscope and a tuning fork test to identify the type of hearing loss (i.e. conductive or sensorineural), if any.
At the end of the appointment, we will provide digital copies of your audiogram result as well as an explanation of the findings by the doctor but this will be followed-up by a more formal interpretation by our audiologist.
