Private UK CORAM-BAAF Fostering Medical
(First-Time Application)
Embarking on the journey to foster a child is a deeply meaningful decision. As part of the UK fostering process, prospective fosterers are required to complete a CORAM-BAAF medical assessment, which helps fostering agencies ensure applicants are physically and emotionally prepared for fostering.
At Cherries Medical Clinic, we provide a professional, efficient, and compassionate first-time CORAM-BAAF fostering medical applications for a fixed fee of £100.
Why Choose Cherries Medical Clinic?
Your assessment will be completed by Dr Mohammed Omer Anwar, a GMC-registered private General Practitioner with extensive experience in completing CORAM-BAAF fostering medicals. Dr Anwar understands both the clinical requirements and the emotional importance of this assessment and approaches every consultation with sensitivity, professionalism and care.
Many adopters choose our clinic due to:
- Same-day completion of the CORAM-BAAF medical form
- Significantly lower fees than many GP surgeries
- Appointments without long NHS waiting times
- Experience with adoption and fostering medicals
Families regularly travel from across the UK, including Manchester and South Wales, to access our reliable and efficient service.
What the Assessment Includes
Your appointment will involve:
A comprehensive physical examination
A detailed review of your medical history
Discussion of mental health and emotional wellbeing
Review of family medical history and lifestyle factors
Full completion of the CORAM-BAAF medical form
Mental health is assessed sensitively and constructively, focusing on emotional resilience and support systems rather than judgment. The aim is to ensure adopters are well-prepared for the challenges and rewards of adoptive parenting.
Same-Day Completion
One of the key benefits of our service is immediate form completion. The CORAM-BAAF medical form is completed during your appointment and is ready the same day for:
Collection
Secure email submission
Postal submission to your foster agency
This helps prevent unnecessary delays in your fostering application.
Preparing for Your Appointment
You must obtain your full GP medical records before attending your appointment. This is done by submitting a Subject Access Request (SAR) to your GP surgery. Records are ideally provided digitally and may take up to 28 working days to obtain.
If records are limited (e.g. recent GP registration or time spent abroad), we may still proceed based on available information. However, appointments cannot go ahead if no medical records are available at all.
There are no hidden fees. Payment can be made by bank transfer, card or cash and a receipt will be provided.
Please select the clinic location where you would like to book your appointment. Each clinic manages appointments independently to ensure the best service.
