The Bus D4 DVLA Appointment will last approximately 15 – 20 minutes and involves the doctor assessing your height, weight, blood pressure and also your visual acuity by getting you to read letters from an eye chart. Following this, the doctor will ask a thorough set of questions and review any relevant medical history, GP records or hospital records that might be relevant. Again, medical records are optional but should there be a condition that is being dealt with extensively between your GP and the hospital, then it is highly recommended to bring printout letters or notes.

You would need the medical at the following intervals:-
✅ New-time applicant when applying for Bus License.
✅ Every 5 years starting from your 45th birthday up until the age of 65 years old.
✅ Every year from the age of 65 years old onwards.

Once the form has been signed and stamped, it would be valid for 4 months from the date of the medical.
